![]() ![]() Overall I've been enjoying the game a lot. The tutorials are pretty good but lack a few important bits of information that are available in the manual, which is clearly and informatively written. The graphics and aesthetics are very nice for a wargame, and the UI is highly functional and informative. The game does a good job of being accessible without being simplistic. There's enough text and flavor to put me in the game, but not the paralyzing walls of text about every unit as in WitE. Often one scenario will directly proceed from the previous scenario your units and some of your accomplishments on the field carry over from one scenario to the next, but your exact position on the map does not. The scenarios seem well-designed with a fairly smooth ramp-up in difficulty (at least on the "normal" difficulty level that I'm playing on). The scale of the battles is just right for an entry into wargaming, with you controlling division-level troops through focused scenarios linked together into a somewhat dynamic campaign. You can buy the game on the Steam portal or on the official website.Unity of Command II is the first fairly serious wargame I could really get into. Unity of Command download for free on PC, it will not work, unfortunately. Higher level means more options on the battlefield. Try not to sacrifice units in vain, the level of which may soon be increased. Consider meteorological conditions when preparing for offensive or defensive actions.Īs you gain experience, your warriors become stronger and may level up over time. The area in which a unit can move and attack will be highlighted in yellow after you select a unit on the map.Īrtillery and aviation work worse in fog and cloudy weather. During heavy rains, heavy equipment becomes very vulnerable due to reduced maneuverability. The weather also has a great influence on the outcome of the battle. In these cases, try to concentrate as many units as possible in the battle zone. But there are situations when a frontal assault cannot be avoided. ![]() Look at the map and think, maybe there is a direction in which it will be easier to move forward. But you should not immediately throw all your forces at the city around which the enemy has large forces. The more part of the map you control, the easier it will be to create new units, since controlled cities provide additional resources. An army that has the best supply fights much more efficiently. Logistics in the game is given special attention. For the delivery of military cargo, on the contrary, it is preferable to have roads. ![]() Some troops get a bonus when they are on high ground or vice versa when they are hidden by the forest. Try to use the terrain and vegetation to improve your units' chances of winning. There is no hurry, you can think over each move before moving your armies across the playing field. Moves are made alternately with the opponent. The game is addictive easy to get carried away and lose track of time. These are the main tasks to deal with when you play Unity of Command.Īlthough at first glance the game may seem simple, make no mistake, this is a great strategy game that will not get bored. Destroy enemy troops and fight for control of the territory.Build a strong army to compete on the battlefield.Provide a warring state with all the necessary resources.Learning early in the game will greatly increase your chances of success. Here is a game that is in many ways similar to the popular Risk.Įvents in the game take place in Eastern Europe at the height of World War II. The voice acting is good, the music contributes to the concentration of attention on the gameplay.ĭevelopers when creating this project were inspired by board games. The graphics here are simplified and sketchy, but this does not spoil the game at all. Unity of Command is a turn based strategy game that you can play on PC. ![]()
